For the chicken
- 800g raw chicken wings (halved at joints)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoon garlic granules
- 2 teaspoon onion granules
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice (squeezed)
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoon sriracha sauce
To a large bowl add the chicken wings and season with black pepper, garlic granules, onion granules and oregano. In a second bowl add the olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, honey and sriracha. Mix all the ingredients together and pour onto the seasoned chicken. Ensure you coat all the chicken in the marinade. Cover the bowl and place the chicken in the fridge for 1 - 2 hour. Overnight would be ideal.
Preheat the oven to gas mark 6/400oF/200oC/180oC then line a baking tray with parchment paper. Arrange the chicken wings on the baking tray ensuring there is space between each piece and allow them to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes. Bake the wings for 45 minutes turning the chicken halfway through. When the chicken has cooked through, remove the chicken from the oven and allow to sit for 10 minutes before serving.
