This recipe makes Jamaican Guinness punch which is a creamy delicious beverage that is perfect for Christmas or any special occasion.
Guinness punch is a beverage that has been made in my family for many years. It is a very common drink in Jamaica and the rest of the Caribbean though recipes for Guinness punch do vary.
Guinness punch reminds me of a coffee latte but has the slight bitter taste that comes from the Guinness. Using condensed milk adds sweetness to the drink and cuts the bitterness so you get a creamy milkshake type drink with a hint of alcohol flavour. The nutmeg and cinnamon give the beverage a distinctive flavour and makes this drink even more delicious.
This Jamaican Guinness punch is quick, easy and doesn’t use too many ingredients. It is so moreish and I love to enjoy it all year round though Christmas is my favourite time to make it.
